The project involves the replacement of the superstructure of a three (3) span reinforced concrete deck bridge built in 1928. Project involves survey and mapping, ROW, Community Relations, environmental impact evaluation, alternative analysis, preliminary and final design for the superstructure replacement and construction support services. Coordination with utilities and maintenance and protection of traffic is a major task for this rehabilitation project. Since existing bridge deck width is limited, to expedite the project schedule the northbound lane on Route 206 will be detoured through local streets. Bridge superstructure design includes design of steel stringers, diaphragms, deck slab, bearings and approach slabs. Final design will include Seismic Analysis of the new superstructure. |
