On this project, SJH Engineering, P.C. prepared all the required Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) drawings, including general notes for the rehabilitation construction of the approach roadways of the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge. The project included working with survey base maps from different sources, adjusting the drawings to reflect additional lane closures as required by the Client’s work plan to relocate existing utility support brackets for electric conduits and install new support brackets, which were not covered under original contract drawings.

SJH developed design drawings in Micro-Station format for single lane closure and two lane closures for all approaches to Verrazano-Narrows bridge as per NYSDOT and Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA) standards.  SJH coordinated work with NYSDOT, TBTA and Kiewit.
