The school contained two (2) courtyards, one in the middle of the classrooms, and the other adjacent to the library. SJH performed a field survey the existing courtyards to identify all the topographical features and the elevations. Based on these elevations and other information obtained, we prepared contour mapping showing existing ground elevations. SJH prepared proposed contour drawings using InRoads. Using these contours, we developed Grading Plans to improve the drainage and divert the water away from the building. Some areas of the courtyards were paved with concrete to provide adequate drainage. Project involved final design of drainage system including installation of underdrains and connecting the pipes to the existing drainage system. SJH prepared drawings and specifications as per NJSDA requirements.
